Commitment No. 1: I Check MY vehicle before each trip

safe driver commitment 1

Checks To Prevent Accidents

  • Walk around your vehicle and perform simple checks to detect any problems: tires that are damaged, underinflated or flat; leaks (traces of oil or water under the vehicle); condition of headlights and taillights, rearview mirrors, etc.
  • Make sure that the deadline for vehicle technical inspection has not passed.

  • Recommended regular checks: Water and oil levels; seat belts, headlights, taillights, horns and other audible warning devices in working order.

Simple Practices To Improve Safety

  • Objects on the dashboard or rear deck can obstruct the driver’s view and distract him or her.

  • The windshield, headlights, taillights and rear view mirrors must be cleaned regularly.
